WinDirStat provides a visual and statistical representation of disk usage, as well as cleanup tools. It reads the whole directory tree once and then presents it in three useful views: directory list, extension list, and tree map. Its built-in cleanup actions include open, show properties, delete as well as user-defined ones.

Alternatively, WinDirStat Portable and X-WinDirStat are also available.

Hi,

I am not connected to this project – but this ugly duckling is transforming into a beautiful swan.

Strong support for the keyboard, and a command palette, means BowPad now offers exceptional functionality for a single 5MB executable. As of version 2.9.3.3092:

– Minimise ribbon to a small customisable toolbar
– Multiple document tabs
– Folding
– Dark Mode
– Live Spell Checking
– Tree-view explorer view
– Abbreviations
– Autocomplete from contents
– Clipboard history
– Goto last edit
– Auto-indent tabs or spaces
– Soft wrapping
– Drag and drop editing
– Open selected filename
– Open URL
– Regular Expression find/replace
– Find in files
– Custom Keyboard shortcuts
– Bookmarks
– Save/restore sessions
– Quick launcher to call tools
– Tail -F mode
– Plugins using vb or JScript

There are things I don’t like:

– Busy status bar cannot be hidden
– Bold font on Tabs
– Minor issues assigning keyboard shortcuts
– Powerful, but non-standard find/replace
– No incremental find

The metamorphosis continues, perhaps it’s worth another look.

Kind Regards Gavin Holt

KeyNote NF is a tabbed notebook that is particularly suitable for writing and organizing free-form information, especially those that fit naturally within a tree-based structure, such as lists or outlines. It supports rich text and images, multi-level notes and strong encryption. A search function quickly locates information you are looking for. Notes can also be securely encrypted using IDEA or Blowfish.

KeyNote NF is a fork of the original early 2000s’ open-source Keynote, which is no longer being developed. It adds many new features, including check boxes on children of selected nodes, hidden nodes, alarms on nodes, better treatment of tables, improved treatment of links, multi-language support, automatic compression, etc.

Python is an interpreted, interactive, object-oriented programming language. It incorporates modules, exceptions, dynamic typing, very high level dynamic data types, and classes. It has interfaces to many system calls and libraries, as well as to various window systems, and is extensible in C or C++. It is also usable as an extension language for applications that need a programmable interface.

The NugGt package is a portable version of Python with support and even basic built-in inclusion of third party tools like the package installer pip.

Alternatively, download the official Python’s embedded version (which doesn’t natively support any third party tools).

Either of them can be manually added as part of XAMPP.

PDFTK Builder Enhanced is a tool to combine (collate), split, decrypt, add background/stamp, password protect PDF files etc. It is a GUI frontend to the command-line PDFtk.

Note that this project is a fork of Version 3 of PDFTK Builder by Angus Johnson to:

  • Enhance the user interface
  • Add PDF operations and options
  • Update the program to be compatible with later versions of PDFtk

As such, it can be considered as a major upgrade to the original program.
