Just saw this last statement today. You’re somewhat wrong J44xm.
Pegasus Mail does support languages of different “alphabets”, like Hebrew (LTR), Russian, Korean and Japanese (can’t swear as I don’t speak any of them), even in late versions. After adopting Unicode (among 26 other charsets) it extended its support much further.
Besides this charset thing, there’s nothing out there that matches Pegasus Mail power and functionality. It’s the One mailing system, not just a mailer.
And BTW, it’s quite alive and well. New versions are on their way. See for yourself. ;^)

Mail PassView is a password recovery tool that reveals the passwords and other account details for many email clients. For each email account, the following fields are displayed: Account Name, Application, Email, Server, Server Type (POP3/IMAP/SMTP), User Name and Password.

Supported clients: Outlook Express, Microsoft Outlook 2000 (POP3 and SMTP Accounts only), Microsoft Outlook 2002/2003/2007/2010/2013/2016 (POP3, IMAP, HTTP and SMTP Accounts), Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, IncrediMail, Eudora. If not encrypted with a master password: Netscape 6.x/7.x, Mozilla Thunderbird. If settings have password saved: Group Mail Free, Yahoo! MiTeC Mail Viewer for several common email clients including Outlook Express, Windows Mail/Windows Live Mail and Mozilla Thunderbird message databases as well as single EML files. It displays list of contained messages with all needed properties as ordinary e-mail client. Message can be viewed in detailed view including attachments (save ability) and HTML preview.

The program includes search and filtering capability, and allows the extraction of attachments or email addresses from all emails in opened folder.
